E-learning

Build the skills that create confident advisors and stronger advisory teams.

The APX Advisory Teams Mentorship

Great advisory isn't built from technical knowledge alone.

It requires commercial thinking, stronger communication, financial strategy, facilitation, leadership and the confidence to guide business owners through important decisions.

The Advisory Skills Library is a growing collection of more than 45 interactive online courses, created specifically for accountants, bookkeepers and advisory teams who want to develop those skills.

.

Available 24/7, the library allows you and your team to learn at your own pace, revisit topics whenever you need them and continually develop your advisory capability.

Whether you're just beginning your advisory journey or building a high-performing advisory team, you'll always have practical learning at your fingertips.

Created by Tim Seymour and Deb Halliday, experienced practice owners who have built and sold their own accountancy and advisory firms.

More than training. Continuous Professional Development

Advisory is not a skill you master after completing one course.

It develops over time through continual learning, practice and experience.

That's why we've created an ever-growing skills library that supports every stage of the advisory journey.

Instead of searching for webinars, buying separate courses or trying to piece together information from multiple providers, you'll have one place to develop the commercial, financial and communication skills that modern advisory demands.

Before long, you'll have developed the experience, confidence and practical skills to deliver meaningful advisory conversations that create genuine value.

Included within the APX Advisory Teams Mentorship

The Financial Strategies Programme is included as part of the APX Advisory Teams Mentorship.

You don't need to become an advisory expert overnight.

You simply need to master your first financial strategy.

Then your second.

Then your third.

Before long, you'll have the confidence, experience and practical skills to become the trusted advisor your clients already need.

Most programmes teach you how to become the advisor.

APX helps you build an advisory team.

Designed for Learning and Implementation

Watching training is not the same as changing the way a firm operates.

The mentorship combines flexible learning with live support so that you can understand the principles, apply them in your own practice and build them into the way your team works.

Learn at Your Own Pace

Access the online training, tools, templates and advisory resources whenever you need them.

Implement With Support

Join live cohorts and monthly sessions to ask questions, work through challenges and maintain momentum.

Embed It Across Your Team

Enrol your team. Use the learning pathways and team resources to develop capability beyond the practice owner.

Learn it. Apply it. Embed it across your team.

Your Questions Answered

What's the difference between a membership and a mentorship?

A membership gives you access to content and resources to work through at your own pace. A mentorship combines those resources with a structured learning pathway, live workshops, practical implementation, expert guidance and ongoing support to help you apply what you learn and achieve real results. At APX, we focus on transformation, not just access.

Do I need to be delivering advisory already?

No. The pathway supports people moving from technical delivery into advisory, as well as established advisors who now need to build capability across a team.

Can my team join?

Yes. The practice owner or leader completes the programme first to understand and implement the APX methodology. Team members then join and follow the learning pathways relevant to their role.

What happens during the 10-week cohort?

You attend weekly live implementation workshops designed to help you work through the APX pathway, apply the learning and maintain momentum. Replays are available when you cannot attend live.

When do the cohorts run?

Cohorts are planned for:

September to November

February to April

May to July

Can I Join anytime?

Yes.. You'll have access to the full Programme and learning library, monthly Financial Strategy Sessions, community, Polly AI Coach and all resources. The live cohorts are designed to accelerate implementation, but the mentorship and support continue all year round.

What are the Financial Strategy Sessions?

Each month focuses on one practical financial strategy. You’ll complete the e-learning, attend a live workshop, implement the strategy and submit a case study to demonstrate your understanding. Successful completion earns you the relevant APX badge, certificate or accreditation.

What is Polly AI Coach?

Polly is the APX AI learning coach. She is trained around the APX methodology and can help you explore your learning, think through questions and prepare for implementation. She does not replace professional judgement or the live support available through APX.

What is the Business Course Library?

It is a collection of client-facing business education courses that firms can make available to their clients. The library helps clients understand key business concepts, supports advisory conversations and reduces the need to answer the same foundational questions repeatedly.

What is the minimum commitment?

The mentorship has an initial 12-month commitment. After that, it continues on a month-to-month basis.

What happens if I miss a live session

Cohorts are three times a year and you are free to join any of these whilst your subscription is active. Replays are made available through the APX portal.

Is the training CPD accredited?

Yes the training programmes are CPD accredited

Can I speak to somebody before joining?

Yes. You can book a discovery call with Tim and Deb to discuss your firm, your goals and whether the mentorship is appropriate for you.
